Hughes vs. Serra

The highly anticipated grudge match we've been waiting for is here. I think this can turn out to be an incredible fight. Most folks have picked Serra to win since Hughes is on a 2 fight losing streak and has hinted at retirement.

I think given the situation of Hughes last fights, he's fought the top guys and lost to them. There is no dishonor in that. On top of that, Hughes took the fight with Alves on short notice.

I am not a Hughes fan, I really am hoping for Serra to win... however, I have a feeling Hughes wins this fight. Matt Hughes can take a beating as you had seen in previous fights. He was weary after a flying knee from Alves who is a Muay Thai machine. I have a hard time imagining that Serra's fists will have that much of an impact to make Hughes that weary again.

Serra has the advantage standing, and grappling. If it comes down to wrestling and ground-and-pound, Hughes has it in the bag for sure. Can't wait!

Evans vs. Machida

This fight is truly going to be a Chess match. Both if presented with an opening are known to make you pay for it. I believe this fight is going to be decided by a few factors....

1) Machida frustrates Evans and/or the crowd gets Evans to go out of the game plan.
2) The fight goes into the later rounds (4 or 5) and Evans Gases out

Prediction:
As long as Evans keeps the pace fast and aims to cut off Machida's movement, Rashad has a good chance of winning.

My head says Machida wins, my heart says Evans wins.
